Never Be Shaken (Psalm 62:1-2)

There's a real cool song we did for Sunday school this morning, Never Be Shaken. I made up some great hand gestures for the kids and they seemed to love it, especially the no, no part and never be shaken. You can find the chord charts to many of the songs we do at, http://www.seedsfamilyworship.com

I guess I'm drawn to rocks since I have 4 grandsons who love to collect them and they always seem to end up in their pockets. Plus, we've had an outdoor work party where my grandson and I lined a dirt pathway with rocks. It turned out great!

I've seen Morro Rock and Half Dome. They're truly amazing... I sure do like this photo (credit: Sgarten) I found online, too. You know,  Charles Spurgeon once said:

"Without Christ, there is no hope."
Indeed, He is strong and loving. Enjoy this simple little song. If you're not familiar with the tune, have a listen, here. I think we sang it through three times and the 2-5 year old class learned it rather quickly!!

Intro

No, no, no, no

No, no, no, no

Verse

My soul finds rest in God alone
My soul finds rest in God alone
My soul finds rest in God alone
My salvation comes from him

Chorus:
He alone is my rock and my salvation
He is my fortress
I will never be shaken

No, no, no, no
No, no, no, no

Vacations and Touring

Barefoot Books-LadyD: Summer Time

I hope you're summer has been a refreshing one. It seems to go by so quickly. Although my garden continues to grow, I 'm heading out for a little vacation... a much needed R&R from blogging and teaching piano. I'm off to a convention and will tell you all about it when I return next week.

All the best,

I enjoyed the process of changing Riley's picture from the original one at the top. Here's the steps I took to get the finished look in the 2nd photo:

1. Yester-Color Effect
2. Paint Texture
3. Increase Saturation
4. Screen Blend Mode

I guess it looks like he's having a melt-down in the summer sun!

Word Clouds

word clouds

All of my children and five grandchildren will be coming home this week for a marvelous family reunion. I am looking forward to the time immensely. Do you ever have family gatherings and if so, do you host them or go to a resort? One summer we all gathered at Snowbird because it was off season at a ski resort. The facility was grand, with such luxury. This time we will be going to the beach, swim in the pool and probably go to the San Diego Safari Park. Since I'll be busy enjoying memories with my loved ones, I thought I would share a book cloud in this post that I created for you. It's easy. You can do it, too! http://www.tagxedo.com/

Hope to catch up with you in July... Happy 4th!

 Blessings to all!
