Kindergarten Music: Servant of All

Sunday School Music: Servant of All

We introduced a new song to the Kindergarten class, along with the 2's and 3's yesterday. Needless to say, the song was a hit. It was easy for the children to hold one finger up for the word, "first" and then use both hands to make a zero for the word, "last." When we got to the chorus, everyone just started jumping!! It's so rewarding to see seeds being planted in young ones hearts and minds.

Here's the original chord chart but we found it easier to play the song in the Key of C.

Servant of All (Mark 9:35)

If anyone wants to be first he must be the very last.

Serving in Your Church Nursery (Zondervan Practical Ministry Guides)

I think this is a powerful song to encourage us to think about others needs and how we can encourage, inspire and build up others. Some churches and organizations have huge ministry outreaches in cleaning up schools and beautifying the land. Others take care of the elderly, while many ministry leaders serve in their church.

We like singing and playing rhythm instruments with the children.

Have you found serving rewarding and if so, in what way?
