We had a wonderful opportunity to introduce a new song to the children, from 2 - 5 years old. They loved it! Their bright, smiling faces were eager to learn this one.

Song Lyrics to Get Up, Get Up

Get Up, Get Up
By Jana Alayra

Get up, get up
Get up and tell the world
Get up, get up
Some people haven’t heard

That Jesus paid the price
So we can have eternal life
Yeah, get up, get up
Get up and tell the world

Get up, get up
Get up and tell the world
Get up, get up
Some people haven’t heard

That Jesus paid the price
So we can have eternal life
Yeah, get up, get up
Get up and tell the world

Every day, in all that you say and do
There is a way to say that He loves you

Get up, get up
Get up and tell the world
Get up, get up
Some people haven’t heard

That Jesus paid the price
So we can have eternal life
Yeah, get up, get up
Get up and tell the world

Every day, in all that you say and do
There is a way to say that He loves you

Get up, get up
Get up and tell the world
Get up, get up
Some people haven’t heard

That Jesus paid the price
So we can have eternal life
Yeah, get up, get up
Get up and tell the world

We do the hand motions a little bit different than the kids on the video. Our class likes to snap their fingers on the "get up" part. We pretty much follow along with the Jana dvds.

Next Sunday we will be doing this song for Sunday School at our church. I have played Every Move I Make before on the worship team. It's an alive song and a fun one to do the with hand gestures. Below, you will see various chord charts in different keys. We sing it in G because it's easier to play on the guitar. The kid's love this one.

I'm saying good bye to summer since everyone is back to school now. Some schools have already been in session since mid-August here in SoCal. How is it where you are? Back in the swing of things? Thought you might want to see some cool surfer shots from the Pacific Ocean.

Here's a video from YouTube in case you're not familiar with the song.

East Coast Wisdom

Father and Son

My grandson and the ocean inspire me today. Here are some refreshing thoughts to ponder while taking in the sights of a beautiful and vast horizon. You'll find some blue all around!

Unfortunately, there will always be those who don't understand your rhythm and will try to get you to change it to fit their agenda.
