Be Kind (2 Timothy 2:24)

Barefoot Books-LadyD: Be Kind (Free Digital Photos)

There's a cute song you may be interested in for Sunday School. It's easy to play on the guitar or keyboard in the Key of C. It's called, Be Kind (2 Timothy 2:24) It sort of sounds like the tune, Skip To My Lou.

Be Kind Lyrics

Words and Music by Bernice Mario

      C
Be kind, be kind to everyone
      G
Be kind, be kind to everyone.
      C
Be kind, be kind to everyone.
        G                       C
The Bible says, "Be kind."

 C
Skip  to a friend, skip back to your place.
 G
Skip to a friend, skip back to your place
 C
Turn around, put a smile on your face,
 G                                  C
And sing with me, "Be kind."

If you want to play the right hand notes to get the melody down, then it goes like this:

C   E      E   C     C  E   E  G
Be kind, be kind to everyone
      D      D  B     B   D  D  F
Be kind, be kind to everyone.
 F   E      E   C    C   E   E G
Be kind, be kind to everyone.
E     D  F   E        D   C
The Bible says, "Be kind."

E       E  E  C        C     E     E   E      G
Skip  to a friend, skip back to your place.
D      D D B        B     D     D   D     F
Skip to a friend, skip back to your place
E       E      C   C   C  E    E   E     G
Turn around, put a smile on your face,
C      D     F     E      D   C
And sing with me, "Be kind."

While the music is playing, you may want to have the children skip or perhaps interchange the words with "jump." I know my grandchildren sure do like to jump!

The song was produced in 2001 by Gospel Light from Shake It Up! (Little Kids Time)
