Mellow Yellow Monday


Pertaining to traditional Mexican dance music, usually played by a small band of strolling musicians dressed in native costumes. Here they are in their charro suits. Mariachis,  the essence of Mexico and its people. It is something cultural, spiritual and traditional that is unique to this country, an experience not to be missed.

 Our daughter took this photo just at the right time. Oh, to be serenaded by musicians singing from their hearts in the town square!

Blue Monday


A papier-mâché or other type of container that is decorated, filled with toys and or candy, and then broken as part of a ceremony or celebration. Piñatas are most commonly associated with Mexico, but its origins are considered to be in China

Another sweet Grandson of mine, enjoying a wonderful moment with this colorful pinata. What fun he and how he loved the children.
