We’ve paired it with a collection of forty popular action rhymes includes favorites such as “I’m a Little Teapot” and “The Wheels On The Bus,” as well as less familiar ditties such as “Fishes Swim in Water Clear” and “My Ship Sailed From China.”

Many of my beginner students have enjoyed playing the song, The Wheels On The Bus" or "Bus Song" on the piano. It's fun to play and sing-a-long with the tune in Middle C position. This delightful book of rhymes and beautiful illustrations by Clare Beaton, comes with CD to enjoy! Did I mention Susan Reed does the singing? She's fabulous!

Recent praise:

"Finch has selected a plethora of lap games, finger plays, and action rhymes for adults to share with young children.... [T]he cuddliness will appeal to parents as the detailing intrigues young viewers. Make room on the parenting shelf for this one." - Bulletin for the Center of Children's Books

Now, I've saved the best for last! As a quilter and book lover, I am very fond of Clare Beaton's work. I love her world of felt, stitches, colors, hearts and buttons. Have a bird's eye view of her style!

I give this book 5+ stars! Why you ask? Well, Clare Beaton draws you in with Row, row, row the boat for starters and encourages you to sit on the floor facing each other in pairs feet touching and holding hands and sway backwards and forwards. Every child will be delighted to do so! She ends the book with If You're Happy and You Know It, encouraging clap, stomp and shout! In between are glorious chapters like One, Two, Buckle My Shoe. This rhyme is to encourage kids to clean their plates. The pair of numbers represents a mouthful! Plus, you'll be wiggling your toes to This Is The Man That Broke The Barn...enjoy and happy reading!
