About the Author

Phillis Gershator has written more than twenty-five books for children. She has worked as a children's librarian and enjoys cooking, gardening, and especially reading. Phillis lives in the US Virgin Islands with her husband and frequent co-author, David. This is her third project with Barefoot, following Listen, Listen and Who's in the Garden? Jill McDonald finds inspiration in colour and pattern, and has been creating artwork since childhood. She earned her BFA in Textile Design from Rhode Island School of Design. Jill now lives in Parkville, Missouri with her husband, Antonio and son, Luca. She is also the illustrator of Who's in the Garden?
